Sharing recipes and Boxes

You can share an individual recipe or a whole Box with anyone (friends, family, followers) using a public link.

Share a recipe

Open a recipe and tap the more menu (•••) → Share. Magic Meal Kit generates a public link that looks like:

https://app.magicmealkit.com/share/recipes/<id>

Send it however you like: Messages, email, social, AirDrop. The system share sheet opens automatically on iOS so you can pick.

Share a Box

Open a Box and tap the more menu (•••) → Share. The link looks like:

https://app.magicmealkit.com/share/boxes/<id>

A Box link includes the recipes, the per-recipe servings you chose, and the combined shopping list.

What recipients see

Anyone with the link can open it on the web; no account required. They get a read-only view with the recipe (or Box) photo, ingredients, steps, and nutrition. Nothing is editable from the share view.

Import into your own library

If a recipient does want to keep a copy, they tap Add to Magic Meal Kit on the share page. If they're already signed in, the recipe (or every recipe in the Box) is added to their library instantly. If not, they're prompted to sign in or create a free account first; the import resumes once they're in.

Snapshot behavior

Share links are snapshots. The recipe or Box is captured at the moment you first share it, so later edits in your library don't change what your recipients see at that link. Tapping Share again on the same item returns the same link. The snapshot is reused as long as it's still active.

Stop sharing

Archive the recipe or Box. If a share link is active, the app asks whether to also archive the shared copy. Confirm and the link returns "no longer available" to anyone who tries to open it.
