Dietary preferences and filters
Tell Magic Meal Kit how you eat once, then use library filters to find what fits.
Set your dietary preferences
Open Profile → Preferences and toggle on the dietary preferences that apply to you:
- Vegetarian
- Vegan
- Pescatarian
- Gluten-free
- Dairy-free
- Keto
- Paleo
- Low Carb
- Low Sodium
- Halal
- Kosher
- Low-FODMAP
Pick as many as you want. The list is also where future recipe-recommendation features will look first.
Set your food allergies
In the same screen, mark any of the FDA's major food allergens that apply: milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, sesame, gluten, mustard, celery, sulfites.
Allergy warning badges on recipes are coming in a future release. For now, preferences are recorded and synced to your account so they're ready when those features land.
Filter your library
On the Recipes tab, tap the filter icon to narrow the list:
- Quick and easy: recipes with 30 minutes or less of total prep + cook time.
- High protein: recipes with at least 30g of protein per serving.
- Show archived: include recipes you've archived.
Filters combine. Add a collection filter from the tag icon to narrow further.
Search
The dedicated Search tab searches your whole account at once. Results match on recipe titles, ingredient names, and Box names. Useful when you're hunting for "anything I can make with chickpeas".
